The Solar Installers Ltd is a family run business based in Gatwick with offices in Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. Managing Director Richard Elliott has been in the Solar Industry for the over 10 years and gets personally involved in each and every installation.

Originally specialising in Domestic Solar Hot Water and Swimming Pool Systems using their in-house installation teams, they have now expanded into Photovoltaic, quite frankly until the tariff changed, it just wasn’t financially sensible for the customer. Whilst most people want to be Green, they like to see that the financial argument adds up so they were advised against. It’s now all be turned on its head with the changes to the Feed in Tariff which came in, in April 2010. Many of their customers who are generating their own Solar Electricity are earning over a £1,000 a year from their systems as well as getting a warm fuzzy feeling from producing their own energy! One, a Financial Advisor is earning over £7 per day – he should know what he’s doing!

Richard put’s the company’s incredible growth down to being fair and flexible with staff, allowing many of them to work their own hours from home using internet based solutions such as VoIP (Voice over IP) and Cloud Computing. This as well as being independent and not tied to a manufacturer means that not only are they less expensive for a like for like system than many other companies, but can offer what’s right for the customer rather than what’s right for them.

The Solar Products and Solutions offered have meant that rather than Solar being a one-off investment many customers have started out with Hot Water, then as the Feed in Tariff changed, they’ve come back and invested in Photovoltaic to generate their own electricity. You can be sure that as new renewable products become available or more importantly, the financial argument changes, Solar Installers will be offering them to new and existing customers.
